Someday, I’m going to sit down and hear about Mike and Kim’s own personal accounts of their first date! All through their wedding day, more details were uncovered. First, we learned that Kim didn’t know it was a date. Next, we heard that it was just a “chance” first date, as mutual friends dropped out at the last minute. The final word on the first date came from Mike’s best man, who maintains that Mike called him beforehand and hinted that he wouldn’t mind if the friends trip to Maryland Live turned into a one-on-one outing. Either way, two things were very clear from all accounts – Mike and Kim saw something special in one another long before the first date, when they were still just friends. And second, neither ever looked back from that first date on. In fact, Kim told her mom about the date the very next morning. Her mom told her, “Follow your heart.” Kim did, and it led her straight to Saturday, when she and Mike married. We were so honored to be there and so excited to share the story of their day in just a few of our favorite images below. Enjoy!! Congratulations, Mike and Kim!!!!
Kim and Mike had the most beautiful and meaningful handfasting “cord” we’ve ever seen… it was made by combining the wedding dresses of both mothers. The applique from one was removed and sewn on to the lace of another. We were so touched by this and thrilled to incorporate it into many detail and getting ready photos!!!
