June 11th. That’s the date that was on my mind for nine months – my due date. As this pregnancy progressed and I got closer and closer, I was really hoping to have this baby early, since Jasmine came 12 days early, but I didn’t know if that would happen or not. My Mom’s birthday is June 11th, my Dad’s birthday is May 31st, and my sister’s birthday is June 3rd. With all those dates in less than two weeks, I was really hoping she’d be born on one of those dates! The morning of June 3rd I woke up around 7:30 having contractions. They kept going and by 9:30 we were on our way to the hospital. Of course, there’s always the fear of getting to the hospital and the Dr saying you’re not really in labor – but thankfully that wasn’t the case! They admitted me and Akie and I were pretty excited we were going to get to meet our second daughter soon! Mom and my sister Irina were here the week before she was born, which was amazing, and Mom stayed home with Jasmine while we went to the hospital. It was so wonderful to know Jasmine was in great hands and I didn’t have to worry about her at all! Also, thanks to Irina for all these wonderful photos at the hospital!! I had a hard time narrowing them all down, because, well, they’re all so great and it’s a brand new baby!! 🙂
Admitted to the hospital, and waiting for contractions to really get started.
So thankful for an amazingly supportive husband!!!
And at 3:02pm she was here!! Sarah Josephine came into the world crying and crying and didn’t calm down until she was wrapped up in her Daddy’s arms.
9lbs and 2 oz of squishy cuteness!
Calm in her Daddy’s arms. <3
First bath (she wasn’t this calm the whole time, though! 🙂
Jasmine meeting Sarah for the first time. It’s hard to believe we have two daughters!
Thanks to Becky for these amazing family photos!!!
Of course, Jasmine grabs the bow off of Sarah. This is pretty much still the case anytime Sarah wears a bow.
Jasmine’s reward for being so good during the shoot: a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and getting to wear her favorite shirt! 🙂
