I loved this wedding day. Every moment of it.
There are so many pictures in this post – and I tried; I really really REALLY tried to cut it down – that i’m going to be brief with my words.
Every detail was meaningful, every relationship genuine, every vow meant for a lifetime, every moment authentic. There was a great deal of laughter, a few wise words in support of marriage, and more laughter.
It was the perfect wedding. Now… the pictures!!!! I would say these are my favorite, but that’s not entirely true. They are but a few of my many, many favorites!
Alison handpainted a sailboat like this for each and every guest. She also painted the maps included in the invitations and all of the reception decor. Amazing!!!!!!
There were so many details of these processional photos that made me cry – Yusuf’s mom whispering in his ear, Yusuf wiping tears from his eyes in the photo above… but the sweetest was Alison’s dad standing there watching her has she walked all the way up the steps and to her seat. So poignant.
The priest asked all the guests to hold up their hands a proclaim a blessing over the couple. Such a beautiful moment.
Again – all hand painted by Alison!
A little pep talk from his guys after the cork failed to fly off the first bottle.
Alison and Yusuf, from the bottom of our hearts, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!! We cannot wait to follow along with your journey from here!!!!
