100 Inspirational Street Photography Quotes

Are You stuck in a rut and want to re-fuel Your inspiration, or are You simply interested in the mindset of some of most famous Street Photographers? Then this collection of Street Photography Quotes might inspire You to give Your best on the next photo walk.

A lot of the popular Street Photography Quotes have lost their original meanings over time. They are often not meant to be taken literally, but also figuratively.

Of course, the primary meaning is to get closer to Your subjects. This is beneficial in Street Photography in many ways.

You are reducing the chaos in the frame, erasing unnecessary elements near the edges, by narrowing down the frame. It becomes easier to understand what the focus of the photograph is and therefore the story becomes more understandable.

The quotes are not inspirational, but sometimes educational when You think about them.

Not all of the Street Photography Quotes will be helpful for You. Focus on the ones that seem the most interesting to You and apply them in Your Street Photography or note them down.

The next time You feel a little uninspired or need some motivation, look at Your personal list of quotes to give You some extra push.

About women nine0003 “Is it true,” one of the guests asked him, “that your wife was an extraordinary beauty?
“It was a rattlesnake,” Viktor Maksimovich answered, and after a short pause he added: “But with a silencer, which made it especially dangerous.”

"Human station"

“He liked much more those women who blushed, meeting his eyes, and, lowering their heads, quickly passed by. Uncle Sandro believed that shame is the most elegant dress of all that adorn a woman. Sometimes he said that shame is the most teasing dress, but, in essence, they are one and the same. nine0004

"Sandro from Chegem"

"Women are the bookstore bibliophiles."

"The veil, lengthening the dispersal of temptation, makes it more powerful and inevitable."

"In a Parisian shop"

"The more he drank, the more the jealousy sobered up. "

"Young architect and beauty"

Men

"Just as you can overlook the stupidity of a beautiful woman, so you can overlook the magnificence of a stupid man."

Holy Lake

“... Men run wild faster. The oppression of historical inaction mainly falls on men ... that's why they drink so much to forget, which further aggravates their social anemicity.

Wilhelm's Gold

nine0014 Eternity

"In the silence, a bumblebee buzzed over her for a long time, importunately reminding her of the great pettiness of eternity."

"Sofichka"

About life

"Life, it is not the cruelty of your lessons that is formidable, but their mysterious reticence is formidable!"

“Modern man feels the instability of everything that is happening around him. He has a feeling that everything must collapse, and for some reason everything is holding on. The surrounding life oppresses him with a double oppression, that is, both by the fact that everything must collapse, and by the fact that it still holds on. nine0004

About Man and Humanity

"... Man is a cross between a goat and Shakespeare."

Goats and Shakespeare

“Nothing irritates a person more than prolonged gratitude.”

"Oh my patron!"

"The ingratitude of humanity slightly stung me, and I felt quite grown up."

Kindergarten

About philistines and dropouts

“The philistine is always difficult, and this is a consequence of the consciousness of inner inferiority. If, thanks to special talent, he outgrows this consciousness, he is simple and natural, like Chekhov.

"The chairman of the collective farm . .. was a man of that all-Russian type of furious half-educated people, who were then copiously pulled out of the crowd by the time magnet." nine0004

"Sandro from Chegem"

Livestock

“According to colleagues from behind the ridge, it turns out that all of our goats are out of step and only the only North Caucasian turokos is stepping in step. But with whom?

Constellation Kozlotur

“Goats, unlike sheep, grazed, often raising their heads to look around the herd or, in a deep commander’s thoughtfulness, assess the surrounding area.” nine0004

“Shaking with internal sobs, I watched the goat and thought to what extent the Bolsheviks had driven the goats, that they had forgotten all kinship. The proud goat has resigned, cry, Russia!

Goats and Shakespeare

About theft

"Theft is a yearning for creativity, an imitation of creativity. "

North Mimosa

“If they stopped stealing books in a country, then they steal everything else.” nine0004

Night car

About the state and statehood

"Knock down the icicle and think about Russia! What cynicism!

"Thinking about Russia and an American"

“Citizenship is bringing your cigarette butt to the trash can. Statehood is to make sure that the path to the next urn is not too tiring.”

"Traffic light"

“I am afraid that soon our impoverished government will announce a nationwide voluntary fundraising for the construction of the people's guillotine. After that - as it promises - there will be no beggars in the country. In what sense will it not? our impoverished citizens will begin to wonder dejectedly.

Night car

About paranoia

“The extraordinary cheerfulness of the deaf-mutes also aroused suspicion. Such cheerfulness is characteristic of conspirators. But what if a conspiracy of deaf-mutes is brewing in the country to seize power? By the way, the conspiracy of the deaf and dumb is very difficult to expose. This requires deaf-mute informers who enjoy the trust of deaf-mute conspirators and at the same time the trust of Chekists who understand the language of the deaf-mute, but by no means are they. nine0019 The ever-increasing signs of deafness and dumbness of the rulers could lead the deaf-mutes to the idea that this process should be given logical completeness and a dynasty of deaf-mutes should reign in Russia ... "

"The accusation of my lunatic acquaintance, if my memory serves me right, sounded like this: for an attempt to illegally cross the border by air, the scientific inconsistency of which cannot mitigate the criminality of the very idea."

Night car

Valuable tips and suggestions

“Go wash your face and feet. And then put the mousetrap in order. For some reason, our mice got divorced again. By the way, they feel when there is no clarity and firmness in the house.

Fritters of the thirty-seventh year

"Let's talk about things that are optional and therefore pleasant."

"Start"

“In order not to offend a talented person and partly improve the story, the Siberian was advised not to revive the corpse of the guilty forester and pointed out to him that during a forest fire, party members should control the reasonable actions of the people, and not throw themselves into the fire, like enraged old believers.” nine0004

"Oh my patron!"

And other observations

"The cucumber is always eaten cheerfully... and the tomato thoughtfully."

"Chick honors customs"

“The conductor gave us underwear, the blond origin of which could still be guessed behind the persistent swarthyness.

"Lying under this shortened sheet, looking at your bare motionless feet, was unpleasant, as if you had become a dead man, while for some reason not losing your aesthetic sense." nine0004

Night car

“The search for Bigfoot,” he said, “is perhaps a man’s longing for his beginning in anticipation of his end. People want to see their distant ancestor in order to try to understand when and where exactly they went crazy.”

"Human station"

“So, when it seems to us to do a good deed, we feel that we are too sober for it, and when in the rarest cases they turn to us for wise advice, it turns out that it is at this hour that we do not knit a bast.” nine0004

Oscar Wilde's most witty sayings

On the day of Oscar Wilde's 160th birthday, Gazeta. Ru collected the most ironic aphorisms of the famous English writer, which any modern wit needs to know.

Oscar Wilde lived to be 46 years old, wrote the beautiful Picture of Dorian Gray, nine plays, a dozen fairy tales and short stories, poems and poems, knew how to look like a dandy, think like a philosopher, love like a man and speak like the most witty person in the world. He visited the bottom and the top and taught us that there is nothing more honest than paradoxes - both in life, and in feelings, and in art - only one who knows how to feel irony knows how to feel tenderness. Gazeta.Ru has selected the best quotes from the British classic, which say more about us than we know about ourselves. nine0004

1. Nothing interferes with a romance like a woman's sense of humor and a man's lack of it.

2. To argue is so vulgar. After all, in a decent society they always adhere to the same opinion.

3. In our age, newspapers try to force the public to judge a sculptor not by his sculptures, but by how he treats his wife, an artist by his income, and a poet by the color of his tie.

4. Friendship between a man and a woman is impossible. Passion, enmity, adoration, love - but not friendship. nine0004

5. It's good that you smoke. Every man needs something to do. And there are too many idlers in London.

6. Falling in love begins with the fact that a person deceives himself, and ends with the fact that he deceives another.

7. The main harm of marriage is that it eradicates selfishness from a person. And unselfish people are colorless, they lose their individuality.

8. There are only two real tragedies in life: one is when you don't get what you want, and the second is when you do. nine0004

9. A man always wants to be a woman's first love. They have such ridiculous vanity. Women are more sensitive in such things. They would like to become the last love of a man.

10. The most absurd deeds a person always performs out of the noblest motives.

11. I hope you are not pretending to be an immoral woman when in fact you are a virtuous woman? That would be unforgivable hypocrisy.

12. Every desire that we try to suppress wanders in our soul and poisons us. And having sinned, a person gets rid of the attraction to sin, for realization is the path to purification. After that, only memories of pleasure and the voluptuousness of repentance remain. The only way to get rid of temptation is to give in to it. nine0004

13. It is senseless to divide people into good and bad. People are either charming or boring.

Oscar Wilde wrote his only novel, The Picture of Dorian Gray, in 1891. The first film based on the book was made in the 1900s, and in total it was filmed more than 30 times. In 2009, Dorian Gray was released with Ben Barnes and Colin Firth. The image of Dorian Gray sometimes appeared in the cinema not quite canon - for example, in the 2003 film The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, in which he becomes immortal and one of the members of a group of superheroes. However, the film is not based on Wilde's novel, but on a comic book series. Irish actor Stuart Townsend played Gray. Another favorite work of filmmakers was Wilde's short story "The Canterville Ghost". They took on the story of a ghost almost driven to despair by an American family only at 1940s, but they released about 20 tapes. One of them is a 1996 film, in which Patrick Stewart played the role of a ghost. The Canterville Ghost was not passed by in the USSR either - in 1972, a cartoon by Valentin and Zinaida Bloomberg based on this story was released. Indian Bollywood also filmed this story - in its own way, in the super natural comedy "The Ghost of Nath Villa" (Bhoothnath), which was released in 2008.
