This magazine is really gorgeous to look at. We really enjoyed having a flick through the beautiful images. The artists clearly have a great deal of talent and creativity. The photographs look stunning when they are placed in the black and white layout of the magazine.

We think that readers will enjoy this magazine. Whether you are an experienced photographer or whether you have only ever used disposable cameras while on holiday. The great thing about photography is that it is a hobby which can be done anywhere. Readers can use any place as their canvas. Cameras can also be bought relatively cheaply these days. Particularly seeing as there has been a rise in camera exchange shops all over the country.

This is the perfect magazine to put on your coffee table at work or at home. Not just for the cool arty factor it gives you if you want to impress people but also because it is unique and engaging. It’s the perfect thing to have a flick through if you don’t have much time and fancy something other than a gloomy newspaper for entertainment.

Urgent black-and-white printing of newspapers and magazines in Moscow inexpensively

Urgent black-and-white printing of newspapers and magazines in Moscow inexpensively

Printing company Lux-Print provides black-and-white digital, offset, web printing services for periodicals from local, industry, corporate newspapers and magazines to premium publications illustrated with high-quality photographs. nine0003

    Printing black and white newspapers

Depending on the purpose, format and circulation, newspapers can be printed in offset on offset or coated paper. This is more profitable for circulations up to 5,000 copies. If we stop on offset paper, the density will be 70-100 g/m 2 , if on coated paper, it will be much denser - from 115 to 300 g/m 2 . As a rule, small publications in A3 format (420x297 mm) with a volume of 4-8 pages (1 or 2 A3 sheets folded in half) are printed in this way. When unfolded, it is A2 format. nine0003

If the task is to publish a newspaper exactly on newsprint, we will offer you role printing. Roll printing makes large volumes in a short time at very attractive prices. However, there are some conditions here: in web printing, only newsprint with a density of 42-65 g/m 2 is used, the minimum print run should be 5,000 copies (the optimal print run is from 50,000 copies), the format of the publication must be at least A3 when folded form. Accordingly, A2 formats are often folded (A1 unfolded). nine0003

    Printing black and white magazines

The most popular magazine sizes are A4 (210x297 mm) and A5 (148x210 mm). The production of magazines of this format is the most widespread due to the ease of perception of information, placement of high-quality photographs, ease of storage and transportation. The number of pages of magazines, including black and white ones, as a rule, is a multiple of 4 for rational paper consumption, and hence reducing the cost of circulation: 4, 8, 16, 24, 32, 40, 48 pages (pages) with staples . nine0003

Important! Please note that if you need to produce magazines of any other format or volume, you need to use some special paper, our managers will get acquainted with your task and offer the fastest and most economical printing option.

The magazine cover is most often made on thicker paper to increase its wear resistance and protection from external influences: friction, jamming, bending (folding), after printing it can be further processed, for example, by lamination. However, this is not necessary for tabloid magazines. because it is assumed that their life and relevance is a few hours after purchase. nine0003

Important! We can use paper for the cover and block of any density: it will depend on the type of publication, the wishes of the customer and the terms of reference for printing the magazine.

When choosing how to print a magazine, we rely on the ratio of cost and production time with the highest quality that we can guarantee. For low-circulation trade and corporate magazines we offer digital black-and-white printing, and for magazines to be distributed via a subscription system or retail outlets, or via Direct Mail and requiring large circulations, we will, of course, recommend offset printing. , because from 500 copies offset printing, which is too expensive due to the adjustment of a printing machine for small runs, becomes more profitable than digital, since the cost per unit of production decreases several times with an increase in the volume of circulation. nine0003

    Our capabilities

The equipment of our printing house allows us to carry out a complete technological cycle for the production of black-and-white newspapers and magazines from prepress to delivery of finished products. We produce newspapers and magazines both in small circulations (for example, for internal corporate use), and in circulations of several thousand copies on a one-time and permanent basis of publications of a wide variety of formats from a regional newspaper to a premium glossy magazine. Newspapers and magazines are printed in an emergency mode, regardless of the publisher - this is a very responsible process that requires compliance with high quality and print deadlines. nine0003

You can get all the information you need regarding the printing of black-and-white, one-color newspapers and magazines from our managers by phone +7(499) 409-54-31 , whatsApp messenger +79670106809 or e-mail info @luxe-press.ru . If you represent a company or a publishing house, are looking for or plan to change a printing partner, please provide the most complete information about your publication, its frequency, paper and ink requirements, so that we can select the most favorable conditions for your print run. nine0003

is the essence of the genre of black and white photography, history.

Features of shooting black and white photography, the best masters working in this genre
      • History of black and white photography
      • Contemporary black and white photography
      • Notable authors of black and white photography

Black and white photograph is a branch of photography in which the brightness of all objects is rendered in achromatic grayscale, including black and white. Information about natural shades is not saved. Black and white photography appeared much earlier than color photography and remained dominant for about 150 years. Photographers passionate about this genre focus on chiaroscuro, rhythm and textures. Monochrome images often approach abstraction or look like classic old master photos. nine0003

History of black and white photography

Black and white photography was born simultaneously with the advent of the first photographic equipment. Its creator is considered to be Joseph Nicéphore Niépce, who for the first time managed to create a stable black and white photographic image. Then a more advanced technology was invented by Louis Daguerre. Until the advent of color film in the first half of the 20th century, the history of black and white photography was inseparable from the development of photographic art in general. Even after the invention of portable cameras that shoot in color, professionals were reluctant to work with them due to significant distortion in hues. nine0003

Black and white photography began to lose ground only towards the end of the 1970s, when the quality of color images improved, and the technique became cheaper and more accessible. In Russia, monochrome photography dominated until the 1990s. With the advent of digital technology, black and white photography has become less popular. And yet, many prefer monochrome, even in our time, because such works have a special mood. The corresponding function is available in all modern cameras, and you can also remove color in graphic editors in the post-processing process. nine0003

      Contemporary black and white photography

Although this direction is not among the most popular, modern black and white photography exists and develops. Monochrome photos have their advantages. Images are more dramatic and emotional, because the color does not distract the viewer's attention from the author's idea. The works often take on a timeless character: looking at a black and white photograph, it is impossible to tell in what decade it was taken. nine0003

Creating an interesting image without a full color palette is not easy, but the photographer still has other artistic tools: composition, contrast, an unusual angle. In some cases, a black and white photo will certainly turn out better than a color one. For example, when the original picture is too colorful or the combination of shades in it is inharmonious. Also, monochrome well conveys the mood of sadness, loneliness, philosophical reflections.

      Famous black and white photographers

Museums and galleries keep a lot of black-and-white photographs created by masters of the past and the century before last. But even in the digital age, many prefer monochrome. Let's name some of the most famous authors of black and white photography:
