Several Tips on How to Make Engaging Mood Boards

  • Create a Heading

    Some people absorb information better through text. So, when you’re creating a presentation for your project, give it a name that reflects your main message. It may help to better understand the concept and idea you want your board to deliver.

  • Balance Your Design

    The most important thing to always keep in mind is harmony. All elements of your mood board should complement each other. Carefully choose between fonts and color palettes. Make sure that nothing clashes with the general concept of your board.

  • Select Proper

    To make your mood board engaging, think about the images you want to include. Use different sizes, show large and small design elements, and add accents to the photo. Make your mood board a visual story, not just a picture.

  • Make It Your Way

    Get inspired by your favorite designer’s works or through catchy examples found on the Internet, but don’t create an exact replica of the existing visual. Identify the aim and the concept of your idea board and set the tone and mood of your visuals. Design the board in your own style and convey your vision through it.

Types of interactive whiteboards - ANRO technology

Interactive whiteboard is a device that includes the screen board itself, a computer with appropriate software and sometimes a projector that transmits an image to the board. And, of course, the quality of the board and the convenience of its use depends on the use of modern technologies in all three of its components.

The interactive whiteboard was designed primarily for teachers, and has been used by them since 1991 years since SMART Technologies introduced the first device of this type. The field of education immediately appreciated the possibility of using an interactive whiteboard, which stores everything written in memory and allows you to take work with visual aids to a new level.

Now there are several types of interactive whiteboards - they are controlled with fingers, a special marker or stylus, they can have touch, laser screens, work with front and rear projection, etc.

So, let's look at what interactive whiteboards are. Depending on the basic technologies used, interactive whiteboards are divided into:

Sensors located between the layers of the screen recognize the touch and transmit information about it to the computer. Very convenient - the loss of the marker does not affect the workflow. The disadvantages include that the touch board requires careful handling due to the sensors.

2) Whiteboards with electromagnetic technology
This type of whiteboard uses a special electronic pen (marker) powered by wire or batteries. Since there is no need to touch the board with the pen, the teacher can place a poster with the necessary information on it and work on top of it. This is convenient - as long as the marker is not lost or hidden by students who want to disrupt the lesson.

3) Laser technology boards
These boards also require a special marker and the board can be made from anything. For accurate work, the marker will have to be held perpendicular to the board. On such a board, you can place visual information - it will not interfere with the operation of the laser.

4) Boards with ultrasonic / infrared technology
The technology is based on the fact that the infrared sensors of the board determine the position of a special marker powered by independent power sources. Accordingly, the marker cannot be lost, and batteries must be regularly purchased.

5) Wireless whiteboards with microdot technology
A special camera is built into the marker, which, when approaching the board, reads the micro-characters and determines the location of the marker. Information is transmitted to a computer using Bluetooth technology. The board does not require special materials and power sources.

6) Capacitive boards
They differ from the rest in that they recognize simultaneous touches - accordingly, several people can work on such a board at once. Or one person - but with both hands. Also among the advantages of such a board is the ability to work without a marker, with your fingers.

7) DViT boards with optical technology
The location of the marker is recorded by digital cameras and sensors, the information is transmitted to a computer.

In addition, there are boards that combine several technologies. They are the most comfortable.

Interactive whiteboards may also have special projectors and differ in their type. They can be:

1. Ultra short throw. This is the most expensive projector, it is located next to the board - at a distance of just over half a meter. Thanks to this, the shadows of those who work with the board do not fall on the screen;
2. Short throw. This type of projector works within a distance of 60 to 150 cm. It is almost half the price of the previous version;
3. Multimedia. This is the most common and cheapest type of projector, operating at a distance of 2 m from the board. The inconvenience due to falling shadows is not so critical as to interfere with the lesson.

Learn more about the difference between capacitive and projection whiteboards ->

Each type of interactive whiteboard, depending on the manufacturer, has its own software, on which the direct capabilities of the whiteboards depend. Children's boards with increased safety requirements are used in kindergartens and schools, more complex options are used in universities and training centers. Content for working with boards - electronic educational resources - includes CDs with textbooks and videos, various kinds of multimedia presentations, electronic textbooks and manuals from special sites. The use of an interactive whiteboard contributes to a better assimilation of the material and the involvement of students in the work process. That is why these devices are now at the peak of popularity.

ANROtech is a manufacturer of special interactive whiteboards for kindergartens and schools, as well as for offices and various types of businesses. Produced boards are capacitive, and may also contain other technologies, for example, work with a marker. At the same time, we completely abandoned the idea of interactive whiteboards with a projector, since this technology requires additional costs for the projector and its installation. Our boards have touch screen with multi-touch technology so that several people can work with them at once, in addition, boards without a projector are very mobile, which allows them to be moved to any place in the building. And specialized software will allow you to use the boards as a powerful computer.

Our touch boards are suitable for any business area, we can design them to order. See some examples:

Types of interactive whiteboards: how to choose the best option

In this article we will talk about the features and types of interactive whiteboards, depending on the sensor technologies used, projection types and other nuances. You will also learn how to use the equipment.

What is an interactive whiteboard

Those green, brown and black boards with white crayons are long gone. In modern institutions, you rarely see such boards. They were replaced by interactive whiteboards, which are used in kindergartens, educational institutions and conference rooms. It is an ideal tool for the transmission and perception of information, which makes the process and results of training or presentation visual and memorable.

The interactive whiteboard is a touch surface with special markers. Such a board is connected to a personal computer and a projector.

Some of the advantages of the interactive whiteboard:

  • increased student interest in lessons and improved learning;
  • saving the teacher's time to prepare for lessons;
  • accelerated pace of classes without compromising the quality of teaching;
  • collaborative work on projects in a large classroom;
  • demonstration of objects and phenomena in dynamics;
  • colorful and detailed visualization of ideas during presentations of new products or services.

The catalog of the online store "Videks" selected reliable models of interactive whiteboards from trusted world manufacturers. You can get acquainted with the technical characteristics of the equipment here: https://vdex.ru/shop/interaktivnye-doski/.

Types of interactive whiteboards

To make it easier for you to make a choice, consider the types of interactive whiteboards by technology type, projection, size and other parameters. You can also contact our expert who will select the equipment based on your tasks, requirements and budget.

Types of technologies

Technologies used by manufacturers make the interactive whiteboard surface touch-sensitive. They allow you to interact with the board by touching a marker or fingers. There are several sensor technologies based on exposure to different types of waves that are absolutely safe for health.

Infrared technology

Manufacturers place sensors around the perimeter of the board and create a grid of infrared rays on its surface. While touching the panel, the sensors react to signal interruption. The microprocessor controller immediately calculates the coordinate of the touch to the board.

Interactive whiteboards with infrared technology - strong, reliable and durable. They do a great job with long-term active work. It is an ideal choice for educational institutions, offices and showrooms.

Since we offer our customers only the best equipment, about 90% of the boards in our catalog work with infrared technology.

Ultrasonic + infrared technology

In this case, manufacturers combine ultrasonic and infrared technologies. The principle of operation of the board is the same as with infrared technology, only ultrasonic microphones and infrared sensors are located around the perimeter of the screen.

It is worth noting that there are also interactive whiteboards using resistive and electromagnetic touch technologies. But today they are considered obsolete due to significant shortcomings. For example, such boards have a relatively low speed and are sensitive to external interference.

Projection types

Boards are available with front or rear projection. In the first case, the image is transmitted to the surface from the projector, which is located in front. The main disadvantage of this option is that the teacher or lecturer can overlap part of the image on the board.

This disadvantage can be overcome by using a short throw or ultra short throw projector. Such projectors are mounted on the wall above the board using a special tripod. For example, an ultra-short throw projector can be set up as close as 57cm and can create an image up to 120 inches on a whiteboard. At the same time, the light of the lamp does not blind the teacher, and the screen is open to the audience.

Interactive rear projection whiteboards are more expensive, more difficult to install and not suitable for small spaces due to their bulkiness. In this case, the projector is located behind the plane of the board, that is, the image is completely open to the audience.

Replacing the projector lamp is an expensive and complicated process. Purchasing a cheap analog lamp and other mistakes can lead to complex projector breakdowns. Here you can buy original projector lamps for Epson, Toshiba, Sony and other brands at a low price.

Work surface size

When choosing an interactive whiteboard, be sure to consider the size of the interactive whiteboard based on the number of listeners and viewers in the room. We advise choosing boards with a diagonal size:

  • 50" - for an audience of up to 10 people;
  • 60-90 inches - 10 to 25 people;
  • from 91 inches - from 25 people.

We also recommend considering the size of the room. The more spacious it is, the larger the size of the board should be. The diagonal of its surface must correspond to the size of the image that is transmitted from the projector. If the working surface of the board is smaller than the image, then it will go beyond it and you will not be able to work.

Unfortunately, the size of the interactive surface does not always match the whiteboard parameters specified by the manufacturers. For example, some manufacturers indicate the length of the diagonal, taking into account the size of the frames. Therefore, it is better to consult with a specialist about the size of the interactive whiteboard screen.

Software

Interactive whiteboard software determines how you work. Depending on the model and manufacturer, the built-in board program includes a certain set of tools for creating educational content and presentations. It allows you to work with images, text files, drawings, audio and video files, animation applications and others.

Many whiteboard manufacturers include tools in their software specifically for lessons in physics, geography, biology and other subjects.

Understanding interactive whiteboard software is very difficult for an ordinary person. To choose a board with software suitable for solving your problems, call our specialist by phone: 8 (495) 775-32-88.

Number of users

When choosing an interactive whiteboard, we advise you to immediately consider how many people will use it at the same time. If the panel is intended for the work of several people, you need to choose equipment with multi-touch technology - multi-touch.

Depending on the resolution, multi-touch technology recognizes a certain number of touches. For example, our catalog contains boards that support from 2 to 10 simultaneous touches.

If you want to use mobile equipment, we advise you to pay attention to interactive panels. Such devices do not require the installation of a projector and connection to a computer. Read our article on the difference between an interactive whiteboard and an interactive panel.

How to work with an interactive whiteboard

To work productively with the whiteboard, use our instructions.

Usage: step 1

Turn on the computer, projector, and interactive whiteboard. Then test by simultaneously pressing the keyboard key and the mouse button. Click on the icon that appears with the interactive pen or finger. Repeat the action until the end of the check.

Usage: step 2

While using the interactive whiteboard:

  • Touch the screen once to simulate a left mouse button press.
  • Hold your finger on the screen to simulate a right mouse click.
  • Touch and hold an object and point your finger sideways to move the object.

Use: Step 3

Use the colored pens to write on the interactive whiteboard, if supplied. Do everything you did on a regular whiteboard: draw, write, and leave comments.

Usage: step 4

To delete entries, change the pen to the eraser by selecting it from the toolbar. You can quickly clear the board by simply touching the object with the eraser and selecting the "Clear Ink" command.

Usage: step 5

Don't forget to save your work! To do this, tap the interactive whiteboard and select Save Ink. Your presentation is now saved on your laptop.

How to care for your board

A dirty touch screen is much less responsive to touch, making it difficult to use the interactive whiteboard. Therefore, we advise you to regularly clean its surface from dust and dirt with LCD care products or whiteboard cleaning products.
